Sonja Vilc is an actor, director and a researcher in cultural theory. As a part of Kolektiv Narobov and the Ljud group she co-created performances in public spaces, physical and experimental theatre pieces, radio plays and even a feature film. Sonja has been teaching theatre and improvisation since more than ten years and has toured across Europe, in the U.S., Canada and Australia. Her various projects have received 1 national and 4 international awards. She currently lives in Berlin, where she has also completed her PhD on the topic of change in the arts and politics. Her recent book “Collective Improvisation: From Theatre to Film and Beyond” has been published through Maska and is a must-read for anyone interested in the past, present and future of improvisation.
